We were invited to showcase our lighting and drape at the Taste of the Commonwealth event at the Commonwealth Club in Richmond, Virginia.
Couples attending the event are able to see samples and meet with all types of local wedding vendors. Some of the vendors including lighting and drape companies, chair and linen rental companies, vintage rentals, event caterers and more.
Three of our "Madeline" Empire Chandeliers hung from gooseneck chandelier stands with white covers. The back of the stage was lined with a luxurious champagne velvet-stretch drapery wall that perfectly matched the room's color palette.
The stage is the center point of the entire event and was sporadically occupied by a band. The chandeliers create an elegant centerpiece for the event and elevate the band's charm.
The event entrance—there were plenty of drinks to go around! The entranceway looked gorgeous with our sheer drape touches. An elaborate drape archway is the first thing everyone sees. An ornate sheer backdrop is set up behind the photobooth to add a classy touch.
We added a ton of uplighting all around the room. The best way to light up this space is to hit every column with uplights. No half-measures, it doesn't look as good.
For this event, the uplights were a bright warm white, but hundreds of other colors are possible. The most popular colors in the Commonwealth Club are this warm white, a candlelight amber, rose, and for party time: Blues and violets.
The finishing touches. String lights were hung from above the atrium to provide some vintage charm to the space. White drop-down Edison bistro lights were the obvious choice for this space.
It was such a pleasure working alongside these fantastic vendors!
